Emerald here to share on the topic, ‘expectation + reaction + unhappiness’.
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Robin. He is pure and naive indeed. He was blessed with much wealth and a harmonious family, he expected that the world would comply with his expectations day in and day out.
Until he grew to maturity. He became 25 years old. He moved to San Francisco, a beautiful city bustling with ideas, innovation, and hot gadgets. He felt he could take on the world by first working a managerial position at McKinsey immediately out of college. Oh girl, he aimed the arrow too high too soon.
————> <—- The arrow turned motion and returned to aim his forehead.
He didn’t get the job- no
He was disappointed- yes
He was surprised- yes
He reacts with sadness. A deep sadness spiraled him down to a path of an abyss. Abyss so deep, he could not recognize his love for life any longer.
‘Why, what’s the point of living if I can’t get what I want?’, he pondered in the abyss. Then he found a blue Sapphire in the bottom of the abyss – U N E X P E C T E D L Y
15 years later, Robin continues to dream about working in McKinsey. This time, he wants to buy the company, McKinsey.
This time, with no expectation of the outcome.
This time, he sees the destructive force behind the expectation that when alchemically merged with reaction creates deep-seated unhappiness.
This time, he has found a formula for happiness:
no expectation + no reaction = happiness
Is expectation the culprit to disappointment? I wonder
This unrelenting dream of his alchemically took on a new shape.
This time, Robin Hood is the dream——-> with no expectation of course.
With life, we earn wisdom like currency.
Beauty is appreciating a higher purpose beyond the temporary
Beauty is moving ahead to emergent new ideas
Beauty is wisdom gained through abysmal ignorance
Beauty is ignorance alchemizing into bliss
Ignorance ——————————-—————— Alchemize ————-————————————-> Blizzzzzzzzzs
